And it’s finished!
Total estimated rendering time is 10 hours.
My god, the detail on the Enterprise was a nightmare.

Another WIP. 6 hours have passed since I began this.
Now excuse me while I pass out in my bed, leaving you with a cliffhanger, because I’m losing my coordination.

WIP of Captain Picard and the USS Enterprise, using the same blue-gray watercolor used to make the Night Fury.
Adding the facial features made me really nervous, even more so than drawing in Data’s mainly because I don’t have a handy hairline to help me with placement. The face is mostly line right now, but I’m working to make it more edges and gradation so it should look better later.

This one episode of Frasier is the reason why I got into Star Trek in the first place, surprisingly. You know, the one where Patrick Stewart plays as a gay opera director and Frasier doesn’t realize he’s hitting on him.
Is it sad that only something as great as Patrick Stewart can positively adjust my attitude toward Shakespeare?

This will always make me smile.
Even more so knowing that Patrick Stewart made this for Gene Roddenberry’s birthday.
And Patrick Stewart is an amazing human being.
*smiles*
WAT.
Oh jesus, suddenly there’s a giant influx of people reblogging this post in just one day. Who knows, it might go Tumblr viral.
Fuck Chuck Norris, Patrick Stewart all the way.
