Parasaurolophus

• Found only in North America
• Lived in the Late Cretaceous Period
• Three different species
• Weight 2.5 tons
• Could walk on two or four legs (though probably preferred two based on bone structure)
• The giant head crest is almost always described as being used to making sounds, due to the hollow tubes in it, as well as sexual display, and temperature regulation
• Herbivore
• Rare, as far as fossils go.

This was such a cool dinosaur. I have a Ty beanie of one of these and his name is Tooter. I did not name him.

This thing and iguanodon were both fucking boss, except iguanodon was an extremely common and widespread species whereas these were far rarer and more localised.

My other favorite along with Archaeopteryx and Velociraptor
